NEET Exam Overview

The NEET exam was conducted in offline mode, featuring two sections in each subject: Section A and Section B. Section A comprised 35 questions, while Section B had 15 questions, totaling 50 questions per subject. Students were required to answer all questions in Section A and any 10 of the 15 questions in Section B. The subjects included physics, chemistry, and biology (botany & zoology). All questions were multiple-choice, with a total score of 720 marks. Each correct answer awarded 4 marks, while each incorrect answer resulted in a deduction of 1 mark.

NEET UG 2024 Result Date

This entrance test determines eligibility for admission to MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, BAMS, and other paramedical courses. The NEET result will be announced on June 14, 2024, on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG 2024 MBBS and BDS Cut-Off Marks

To gain admission to desired courses and colleges, students must score above the cut-off marks, also known as the minimum qualifying marks. These scores determine eligibility for medical courses in India. The testing agency has released the expected category-wise cut-off marks as follows:

Merit List & Counselling Process

The authority will prepare a merit list including rank-wise names and marks of students. Based on this merit list, qualified students will be called for counselling. To participate in the counselling process, qualified candidates must register by paying a registration fee.

Courses and colleges will be allocated based on students’ ranks and marks through the counselling process. Students must choose their preferred courses and colleges. After choice filling, the authority will allot seats to the students. Once seats are allotted, students must report to the designated institutes.

How to Check the NEET UG Result 2024

Students can follow these steps to check the “NEET Result 2024”:

  1. Visit the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
  2. Look for the “Public Notice” section.
  3. Find and click on the link to check the “NEET Result 2024”.
  4. Enter your registration number, date of birth, and captcha code/security pin in the login fields.
  5. Click on the “Proceed/Submit” button.
  6. The result will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.
