The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

NIOS is “Open School” to feed to (NIOS 10TH 12TH ADMISSIONS IN NOIDA/ DELHI )the requirements of a miscellaneous group of learners up to pre-degree position. It was started as a design with in- erected flexibilities by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 1979. In 1986, the National Policy on Education suggested strengthening of Open School System for extending open literacy installations in a phased manner at secondary position each over the country as an independent system with its own class and examination leading to instrument.

What’s NIOS

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India set up the National Open School (NOS) in November 1989. The airman design of CBSE on Open School was composite with NOS. Through a Resolution (No.F.5-24/90 Sch.3 dated 14 September 1990 published in the Review of India on 20 October 1990), the National Open School (NOS) was vested with the authority to register, examine and certify scholars registered with it up topre-degree position courses. In July 2002, the Ministry of Education (MOE) amended the title of the organisation from the National Open School (NOS) to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a charge to give applicable continuing education at academy stage, up topre-degree position through Open Learning system to prioritized customer groups as an volition to formal system, in performance of the normative public policy documents and in response to the need assessments of the people, and through it to make its share of donation
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is the Board of Education for Distance education, under the Union Government of India. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India in the time 1989 to give education inexpensively to remote areas.

The NIOS is a public board that administers examinations for Secondary and Elderly Secondary examinations of open seminaries analogous to the CBSE and the CISCE.
